Issuing Retries

Every shoot comes with one free retry. On the current AI model, the member starts that retry themselves from their results page with Redo with new selfies. Your role as admin is to point them there, or to start a New shoot when the free retry is gone or the window has closed.

A retry replaces the whole set. The old photos are deleted and cannot be restored. Tell members to download any keepers before they redo.

How it works

Free retry (member starts it)

1. Ask the member to open their results page and click Redo with new selfies.
2. They upload fresh selfies and run the shoot again. No credit is used.
3. If the member cannot find the page, go to Members, open the Actions menu on their card and select Send access link. HeadshotPro emails them a sign-in link.

The free retry is available for 60 days after the shoot finishes. After that, or when the retry is used, the button on the member's page is disabled.

Managed members (you do the retry)

For members you manage without an account of their own:

1. Go to Members and open Actions > New shoot on the member.
2. The dialog shows Do reshoot when the free retry is still available.
3. Confirm. Their results are deleted and you upload new photos for them right away.

New shoot (uses 1 credit)

When the free retry is used, or more than 60 days have passed:

1. Go to Members and open Actions > New shoot on the member.
2. The dialog shows Start a new shoot and what happens: 1 credit is used, their current results are permanently deleted, and they get an email invite to upload new photos (or you upload for a managed member).
3. Click Use 1 credit and start new shoot.

The new shoot includes a fresh free retry.

Good to know

• One free retry per shoot, valid for 60 days after the shoot finishes.
• A retry or new shoot deletes the previous results for good. Download keepers first.
• If a member already has a shoot or retry in progress, the dialog says so. Wait until it finishes.
• New shoot is disabled when your organization has no credits. Buy credits at Billing first.
• Better selfies give better results. Send the member the tips in Quality Tips before they redo.
