Enforcing Consistency
HeadshotPro gives you several controls to keep every headshot your team produces on-brand. They range from soft guidance to hard rules. This article covers the strategies. For step-by-step setup, see Style Presets.
How it works
Approach 1: Narrow the approved list
Members only see what you approve. For a uniform library, approve 1 or 2 backdrops and one outfit for men and one for women. Members cannot pick anything outside the list.
Approach 2: Decide who controls the outfit
The Let team members keep their uploaded outfit toggle on Outfits overrides the approved list. On, members can wear what is in their selfie. Off, every member picks from your approved outfits. Turn it off when you want one dress code. Turn it on when the team already wears a uniform and you want the real garment in the photo.
Approach 3: Add your own outfit or backdrop
If the library does not have your look, add it. Add custom outfit puts your polo, lab coat or branded garment in the approved list. Add custom backdrop puts your office, brand color or event wall in the backdrop pool. Both apply to new shoots only.
Approach 4: One backdrop for everyone
Approve a single backdrop, or approve a few and turn Force backdrop variety off. With variety off, a member can use the same backdrop for every photo in their shoot. With variety on (available from 4 approved backdrops), each photo in a shoot uses a different backdrop.
Approach 5: Per-team overrides
If offices or departments have different standards, give each team its own backdrops and outfits. Use Configure backdrops per team and Configure outfits per team on the Backdrops and Outfits pages. Teams without an override use the organization defaults.
Approach 6: Control body position
By default, HeadshotPro cycles through five body poses. To keep everyone front-facing, for example, restrict generation to one or more poses under Settings > Headshots > Pose selection. See Pose Selection.
Good to know
- All consistency controls are team-lead only. Members cannot change the approved list, the outfit toggle, team overrides or pose selection.
- Changes apply to new shoots only. A member who already started keeps the options they had. To change a finished photo's backdrop or outfit, the member (or you) uses the edit panel, which costs edit credits.
- Framing is head and shoulders to upper chest. You cannot lock the exact crop. Use custom output sizes under Settings > Headshots to deliver a fixed pixel size.
- Group photos are not a product. HeadshotPro makes one headshot per person. To build a team wall, download each photo with a transparent background and combine them in a design tool.
- Per-team overrides are independent for backdrops and outfits. A team can have its own backdrops and use the organization's outfits.
