Removing Members

Remove a member from your organization, and understand what happens to their data and your credits.

Removing Members

Removing a member revokes their access at once and permanently deletes their headshots. This cannot be undone. Download any photos you want to keep first.

How it works

From the Members list

  1. Go to Members.
  2. Find the member.
  3. Open the Actions menu on their card or row.
  4. Select Remove.
  5. Read the confirmation and click Remove member.

From a member's profile

  1. Go to Members and click the member.
  2. Open the action menu on the profile and select Remove member.
  3. Read the confirmation and click Remove member.

What is deleted

  • The member loses access to the organization.
  • Their headshots and shoots are permanently deleted.
  • Their profile picture is deleted and any embed of it stops working.
  • Pending invite links for that member stop working.
  • Reminder emails to that member stop.

The member's personal account is not deleted. They keep their login and can use HeadshotPro on their own or join another organization. Managed accounts (no real email) are deleted completely.

What happens to the credit

  • If the member never started a shoot, the credit was never used. It stays in your balance and you can invite someone else.
  • If the member already started or finished a shoot, the credit was used. Removing them does not return it.

Constraints

  • You cannot remove yourself.
  • You cannot remove the owner.
  • Bulk removal is limited to 10 members at a time.
  • Members with more than 3 shoots cannot be removed from the dashboard. Contact support.
  • Each admin can send up to 100 removal requests per hour.

Deleting the whole organization

There is no self-serve delete button once your organization has more than one member. Email support from the owner's address and ask for the deletion. It is permanent and removes every member's photos and data. Tell your members before you ask; the product does not warn them. If you are the only member, use Settings > General > Danger zone. See Deleting Your Organization.

Good to know

  • Removal is all-or-nothing. Either everything is removed or nothing changes.
  • If the removed member was an admin, their admin role is removed too.
  • The removal is written to the organization activity log, including which shoots were deleted.
  • After removal, the person has a plain account and can delete it from their profile page.
