Style Presets

Choose the backdrops and outfits your team can use, add your own backdrops and outfits, and set a different look per team.

Style Presets

Style presets are the backdrops and outfits your team members can choose from when they create their headshots. As a team lead, you curate the approved pool. Members only see what you allow. This keeps results on-brand without a long list of choices for every member.

Backdrops and outfits live on two pages in the left menu: Backdrops and Outfits.

How it works

Backdrops

  1. Open Backdrops in the left menu.
  2. Browse the library. Custom backdrops from your organization appear first.
  3. Click a backdrop to add it to the approved pool. The panel on the right tracks your selection.
  4. Click Save changes.
  5. To add your own backdrop, click Add custom backdrop and upload a JPEG, PNG or WebP image (max 5 MB). HeadshotPro checks the image and upscales it to HD. You can keep up to 12 custom backdrops per organization.
  6. To delete a custom backdrop, hover over it and use the delete control.

Approve at least 1 backdrop. There is no upper limit. Members then pick 1 to 4 backdrops from your pool for their shoot, and get 6 photos per backdrop they pick.

Outfits

  1. Open Outfits in the left menu.
  2. The Approved tab shows what members can pick. The Outfit library tab shows everything. Use the All, Men and Women filters to narrow the list.
  3. Click an outfit to approve it or remove it. Use the bulk action link to approve a recommended set, approve all, or clear all.
  4. Click Save changes. You need at least one approved outfit for men and one for women.

Members only see outfits approved for their gender. To force one look, approve one outfit per gender.

Let team members keep their uploaded outfit

At the top of Outfits is the toggle Let team members keep their uploaded outfit. When it is on, a member can use the clothes from their own selfie instead of an approved outfit. Turn it off to make everyone pick from the approved list. This is the setting to use for uniforms, lab coats or a dress code that is hard to find in the library.

Custom outfits

The Add custom outfit card on the Approved tab lets you add your own outfit, for example a polo with your logo or a branded lab coat.

  1. Click Add custom outfit.
  2. Upload a clear photo of the outfit. Add your logo if you want it on the garment.
  3. Pick the gender the outfit is for and add short instructions if needed.
  4. Click Generate preview. The preview shows the outfit on a sample model in a few seconds. Use Retry if it gets stuck.
  5. Click Approve outfit. It is available to your team right away.

To change a custom outfit later, open it from the Approved tab. Your team keeps the current version until you approve the new one.

Each organization can have up to 5 custom outfits. Delete one to add another. If the card says custom outfits are not available for your organization, email sales@headshotpro.com.

Per-team overrides

If your organization has more than one team, each team can have its own backdrops and outfits:

  1. On Backdrops or Outfits, use the Configure backdrops per team (or outfits per team) selector to pick a team.
  2. Change the selection for that team and save.
  3. The indicator shows whether the team uses the organization defaults or its own set.
  4. To go back to the defaults, click Reset to organization defaults.

Good to know

  • Changes to backdrops and outfits apply to new shoots only. A member who already started or finished a shoot is not affected. A new custom backdrop cannot be put on finished headshots; use the edit panel to change a finished photo's backdrop instead.
  • Custom backdrops and custom outfits are visible only to your organization. A deleted custom outfit disappears from the list; headshots already made with it stay as they are.
  • Custom backdrops are used as uploaded. A sharp, well-lit image gives the best result.
  • The Force backdrop variety toggle appears when 4 or more backdrops are approved. On, members cannot use the same backdrop twice in one shoot. Off, a member can use one backdrop for every photo.
  • Setting up backdrops and outfits ticks the matching tasks in your setup guide.
