Voting and Feedback
How to get friends or colleagues to vote on your headshots so you can pick the best one.
Voting and Feedback
Not sure which headshot to use? Send a voting link to friends or colleagues. They browse your photos and cast up to 5 votes each. You see a ranked breakdown of the results so you can confidently pick your best headshot.
How it works
Sending the voting link
- Open your results page at
/app/results/[id]. - In the left sidebar (or the bottom navigation on mobile), click Share with friends — or View votes if you have already shared before.
- HeadshotPro generates a unique voting link and copies it to your clipboard. The link format is:
https://www.headshotpro.com/vote/[token] - Share the link via any channel — message, email, Slack, etc. No account is required to vote.
What voters see
When someone opens the voting link:
- A brief intro modal explains the task and asks them to vote wisely — ignoring photos with AI artifacts and choosing the ones that look most professional.
- After dismissing the intro, they see your full photo gallery sorted with your marked favorites and keepers at the top.
- Voters select up to 5 photos by clicking them. Selected photos appear as stacked thumbnails in the sidebar panel.
- Clicking Send my votes submits the selection. Votes can be changed — revisiting the link and submitting again replaces the previous selection.
- After voting, a thank-you screen appears with an optional $10 discount offer to create their own HeadshotPro headshots (valid 24 hours).
Viewing results
- On your results page, click View votes in the sidebar to open the Voting tab.
- The tab shows summary stats: total unique voters, total votes cast, number of photos that received at least one vote, and the highest vote count on a single photo.
- Photos are listed in two groups: Top voted images (sorted by votes, highest first) and Unvoted images.
- From either list you can mark photos as keepers directly.
Stopping voting
To disable the voting link, click Stop sharing on the Voting tab. A confirmation dialog appears. After confirming, the token is deleted and the link stops working immediately. Existing vote data is preserved — you can still view the results.
Good to know
- Only finalized photos appear on the voting page. Photos marked as duds are hidden from voters.
- Voting access is limited to prevent abuse. Repeated votes from the same person or network are restricted automatically.
- Voters are identified by their browser session. Clearing browser data or switching devices creates a new voter identity.
- Duds do not appear on the voting page, so marking obvious AI errors as duds before sharing gives voters a cleaner experience and more meaningful results.
- The voting link and the full-gallery share link use different URLs. The voting link (
/vote/[token]) is for gathering input; the share link (/app/results/share/[token]) gives full view-and-download access. Both use the same underlying share token. - Voters see a watermarked version of your photos on the voting page.
