How clothing selection works when pairing outfits with backdrops for AI-generated headshots.
Outfit and Clothing Options
Every headshot style is a combination of two things: a backdrop and an outfit. When you select a backdrop during the style-selection step, you immediately choose an outfit to go with it. The AI generates you wearing that outfit against that backdrop.
Clothing items are gender-filtered. The modal only shows outfits that match the gender you specified in your personal info, so you see relevant options without needing to sort through everything.
How it works
- On the style-selection screen, click any backdrop card or its Select button.
- A modal opens showing all available outfits for your gender. Outfits are shown as thumbnail images.
- Use the search field to filter outfits by name or description if you're looking for something specific (e.g., "suit", "blazer", "casual").
- Click an outfit thumbnail or its Select button to confirm the pairing. The modal closes and the backdrop-outfit combination is added to your selected styles.
- The selected combination appears in the right panel, showing both the backdrop thumbnail and the outfit thumbnail side by side along with their names.
To swap an outfit on an already-selected combination, remove the combination from the selected styles panel and re-select the backdrop with a different outfit.
What each outfit includes
Each outfit in the catalog has:
- Type — the display name shown in the selector (e.g., "Dark suit", "Business casual").
- Gender — one or both of male / female. Outfits are filtered to match your selected gender at the style-selection step.
- Thumbnail images — separate male and female preview images so you can see how each option looks.
The most popular clothing options appear at the top of the modal.
Good to know
- Clothing options are updated periodically.
- Popular outfits are flagged with a Favorite badge in the modal.
- The outfit you choose does not need to match what you were wearing in your uploaded photos. The AI replaces your clothing entirely based on your selection.
- If you don't see an outfit that fits your needs, you can describe exactly what you want when editing a photo.
