Editing Your Headshots
How to use your edit credits to change outfits, backdrops, and other details on your team headshots
Editing Your Headshots
Once your headshots are ready, you can make targeted edits to individual photos using your edit credits. Each edit changes only the specific item you select — everything else in the photo stays the same.
How it works
- Go to the page where your headshots appear.
- Hover over the headshot you want to edit.
- Click Actions, then select Edit.
- Choose what you want to change from the available options.
- Click Remix photo.
- Wait for the edit to process — typically under 1 hour.
- Both the original photo and the new "Remix" version appear together on the results page.
What you can change
Each edit costs one credit. Available edits:
- Change outfit
- Change backdrop
- Change your expression
- Change your hairstyle
- Change body position (see below)
- Remove glare
- Remove glasses
- Add a logo
- Expand photo (useful if your headshot is too zoomed in for LinkedIn)
- Make the background transparent
- Replace background
- Remove blemish
Changing body position
If your team lead has enabled custom poses, a Change body position option appears in the edit panel. Select a new pose from the list of poses your team has approved, then click Apply new body position. The edited photo appears in your gallery once processing completes.
This is useful if you generated your headshots before your team enforced a specific pose requirement — you can re-pose an existing headshot without a full reshoot.
Good to know
- Every team member receives edit credits as part of their package. The credits counter on your results page shows how many you have available to spend.
- Your admin may reserve a portion of your edit credits for their own use. If your displayed credit count is lower than expected, this setting is likely on. Contact your admin for details.
- Change body position only appears when your team lead has enabled custom poses. The picker shows only the poses your team has approved — not all available poses.
- Your current pose is shown in the picker but cannot be selected again.
- If you are unhappy with all of your headshots rather than just one, ask your team lead for a retry instead of spending edit credits. Retries regenerate the entire set. See Getting a Retry.
- If you like one headshot but not the others, use your edit credits to create variations of the one you like.
- Team members cannot request retries directly — only your team lead or admin can grant one.
- Your team lead may have disabled the edit feature for your organization. If you do not see the edit option, check with your admin.
