How to request a password reset email and regain access to your HeadshotPro account.

Resetting Your Password

If you signed up with an email and password, you can request a reset link at any time. The link is sent to your registered email address and lets you choose a new password.

How it works

  1. Go to /auth/reset-password or click Forgot password? on the email login form.
  2. Enter your email address and click Reset password.
  3. Check your inbox for an email from HeadshotPro with the subject "Reset your password."
  4. Click the link in the email. It opens the HeadshotPro site and prompts you to set a new password.
  5. After setting the new password, log in normally at /auth/login.

Good to know

  • The reset email is always sent from the same address regardless of whether the email exists in the system. This prevents account enumeration — you will see "If this email exists, you will receive a password reset email shortly" in both cases.
  • Password reset is only available for email/password accounts. If you signed up with Google, LinkedIn, or Apple, you do not have a HeadshotPro password to reset — use that same social provider to log in.
  • Team members added to an organization via invite may not have a password set at all. If you request a reset for a team-member-only account, the app redirects you to /team-access with a message to use the magic link access method instead.
  • If you are already logged in, visiting /auth/reset-password redirects you to the app.
  • Reset links expire after 1 hour.
